Human Outreach Project (HOP)

Utah is such a big part of who we are, after all, it’s in our name. Catering in Utah provides us with so many opportunities to produce events in the great outdoors. From backyards to the mountainside, we’ve honestly done it all. Our values reflect the love that we have for this great state and as a result, we find ourselves searching for ways to give back. One way that we have been able to support the state and the community that thrives in it, is through teaming up with  the Human Outreach Project -HOP outdoors. This organization takes elementary, middle, and high school students into the Wasatch mountains and gives them the opportunity to explore the great outdoors. HOP aims to “bring economically disadvantaged local youth to Utah’s mountains, to help foster environmental awareness and a deeper connection to our local environment.”

Utah Food Services had the opportunity to sponsor this program through providing lunch to the volunteers that end up supporting this initiative. Catering for this gives us the opportunity to supply nutritional meals (just like momma used to make) and avoid unhealthy fast food options. If you or your friends are interested in helping out such a great cause and eating a catered box lunch in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains, check out this link and get signed up to start giving back!

To volunteer, contact the HOP office by telephone at 801-943-0264 or by email at hop@wwtrek.com. Please include your contact information, as well as your availability during the summer. HOP Outdoors volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
