Convention Catering Sales Manager

Job Summary

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Sales and General Manager with generating event work orders and producing proposals for our clients. This position is responsible for accepting sales calls, booking and coordinating parties and convention groups, generating catering contracts, and adding to the client base. Site inspections and assisting the Catering department at ongoing events is expected. This Manager must also be able to communicate with the Director of Catering and the Chef regarding the details of the event orders.

Qualifications and Skills

Potential Candidates will have 2 years convention catering and/or sales experience with a proven performance record. A valid driver’s license is required. Candidate needs thorough experience with planning buffet layout and design, décor, table linens, and catering menu planning. Skills include computer knowledge, customer relations, being detail oriented, and the ability to multitask. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

This position will report directly to the Director of Sales and can receive input from The Owner, Chief Operating Officer, and General Manager.
