Thunderbirds Airshow ’18

The Warriors Over The Wasatch, Utah’s premier Air Show, returned to Hill Aerospace Museum on June 23rd & 24th for two days of spectacular performances by the United States Thunderbirds as well as many other acts.

We had the privilege of serving the guests in both VIP tents with multiple delicious meals per day, totaling upwards of 350 people.

Producing the necessary amount of hot and cold food at this volume required us to bust out our UFS Mobile Catering Kitchen #2 in to action.

This lean-mean-meal-making machine makes the on-site production of hundreds of meals possible almost anywhere in the world.

When the distance from our stove to your plate is as short as possible, the food is guaranteed to be fresh and delicious!

Outlined below is a sampling of the menu served from our mobile catering chefs:

Sunrise Breakfast Station

Hot Items:

  • Fresh made cast-iron blueberry pancakes with Vermont maple syrup
  • Egg McThunder Breakfast Sandwiches
  • Fresh scrambled eggs with shredded cheese and salsa bar
  • Apple wood smoked bacon
  • Breakfast potatoes with scallions
  • Western omelets
  • 100% Colombian coffees and gourmet teas

Cold Items:

  • Fresh baked Danish and cinnamon Bear Claws
  • Hand crafted breakfast muffins and nut breads
  • Low-fat yogurt, granola, and blueberry parfaits
  • Fresh cut fruit
  • Smoked salmon platters with bagels and condiments
  • Orange, apple, and V-8 juices
  • Breakfast smoothies

Captain Nemo’s Deep Six Seafood Bar

Main Items:

  • Shrimp Cocktail
  • Coconut Shrimp
  • Oyster Shooters with 4-alarm cocktail sauce
  • Smoked clams
  • Sliced Asian peppercorn Ahi tuna seared rare with wasabi, soy, and Gari

Sides:

  • Pot stickers with popper jam
  • Veggie spring rolls

Desserts:

  • Ice cream novelties
  • Assorted cookies

Chicken Fajitas:

  • Tender strips of marinated chicken breast pan seared with peppers
  • Sweet onions
  • Mexican rice with black beans and pear cactus
  • Hot Chili Peppers
  • Flour & corn tortillas
  • Shredded cheese
  • Chopped cilantro

Sides:

  • Mixed greens s
  • Shredded Cabbage
  • Tortilla chips with salsa
  • Pico de gallo
  • Guacamole
